Washington, D.C. counsel Richard P. Ferrin presented a webinar titled, “Primer on Department of Commerce Scope Rulings” on February 27, 2014. This webinar reviewed:

• the process for requesting rulings from the Department of Commerce (DOC) to determine whether a product is outside the scope of an antidumping or countervailing duty order;
• examined the DOC’s review criteria and available alternatives to a formal scope ruling; and
• walked-through how importers can best protect themselves when a potential scope issue arises.
