Evan Kline-Wedeen is an accomplished litigator and trusted adviser with a knack for creatively solving his client’s most challenging legal issues. With significant experience in all phases of litigation, Evan closely partners with his clients to prepare and execute the most effective strategies to protect their ideas, products and businesses.
As a registered patent attorney, Evan is no stranger to sophisticated technology — in addition to his deep background in biomedical engineering and medical device design, Evan has also helped clients navigate disputes involving a variety of technical specialties, including power supply components, semiconductor memory devices, cellular modems, wireless communication technologies, consumer electronics and diesel fuel additives.
Always eager to dig in, Evan prides himself on mastering the facts to provide straightforward, earnest legal solutions that truly serve a client’s needs.
Patent Disputes and Strategy
With his acute understanding of his clients’ businesses and technologies, Evan provides practical and strategic counseling for defending and asserting patent rights in a vast array of technology areas and across all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigations all the way through trial. Evan not only has notable experience representing clients in district courts across the country, but also in high-stakes appeals before the Federal Circuit.
In addition, Evan assists clients with patent preparation and prosecution, patent post-issuance proceedings at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), portfolio management, product clearance and legal opinions. In doing so, he guides and helps clients strategically bolster their portfolios for the best possible business outcomes.
Personal Interests
Outside of his practice, Evan loves to golf and binge the latest sci-fi shows and movies he can find. Otherwise, he always enjoys relaxing and enjoying downtime with his family and friends (sometimes outside, if the Chicago weather permits!).
