U.S. Congressional Campaign Employee Interviewed in Connection with Ballot Fraud Investigation

Our firm represents a former senior-level employee of a U.S. congressional campaign. The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI are investigating potential fraud with respect to obtaining the necessary number of signatures to allow the candidate to appear on the district’s primary ballot. Our client is not the target of the investigation, but the client was the principal point of contact for the campaign with the target. The FBI interviewed our client and she provided cooperation. The investigation is ongoing, though no charges will be filed against our client.
