Willamette University, a liberal arts higher education institution in Salem, Oregon, merged with the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA), the oldest school of art and design in the northwest United States. Faegre Drinker advised Willamette University on the education-related regulatory aspects of the merger agreement, and concerning U.S. Department of Education and other regulatory agency processes necessary to complete the merger. As a result of the merger, PNCA, which will retain its name, faculty and campus in Portland, Oregon, became the fourth college within Willamette University, joining the College of Law, the College of Arts & Sciences and the Atkinson Graduate School of Management.
