FaegreBD Welcomes New Members to Executive Committee, Management Board and Operations Executive Team
FAEGRE BAKER DANIELS (July 11, 2018) — Faegre Baker Daniels is pleased to announce additions to the firm’s executive committee, management board and operations executive team.
David Barrett, Indianapolis, has been appointed to the firm’s executive committee, a subset of the management board responsible for day-to-day management of the firm. Barrett is a partner in FaegreBD’s corporate group and co-leads the private companies practice. He helps clients close M&A, joint venture, and other complex transactions and solve difficult corporate problems. Barrett is serving in his third term on the management board.
Heather Perkins, Denver, has been elected to the firm’s management board for her first term. Perkins is an experienced first-chair trial lawyer and has a broad range of experience representing companies in complex litigation. She advises clients in product liability, trade secret, franchise and distribution, antitrust and other complex commercial matters. Perkins previously served as leader of the firm’s Denver office.
Amy Seidel, Minneapolis, has been elected to the firm’s management board for her first term. Seidel is a partner in FaegreBD’s corporate group and leads the firm’s public companies and securities practice. She advises public companies on SEC reporting requirements, stock exchange listing standards, executive compensation issues, disclosure issues and general corporate governance matters.
FaegreBD’s 13-member management board is responsible for the strategic direction and policies of the firm.
Lisa Brown, Chicago, has joined the firm as chief performance officer, leveraging her problem-solving, project management and consensus-building skills, as well as her background in firm management and as a practicing lawyer, to enhance the performance of individual partners and principals, practice groups and industry teams, and the firm. Brown will also collaborate with firm leadership to implement FaegreBD’s key strategic initiatives and manage change through effective planning, communication and educational programming for partners and principals. She draws on more than a decade of experience as chief talent partner at Schiff Hardin LLP and before that was a partner litigating complex commercial and class action cases.
Brown earned a law degree from the University of Chicago Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.
