The Legal 500 Recognizes Faegre Drinker Practices and Attorneys in 2022 Edition
The Legal 500 United States 2022 guide has recognized Faegre Drinker’s capital markets, investment management, product liability and mass torts, and trade secrets and non-competes practices in four categories, with several attorneys receiving individual rankings.
Capital Markets
The capital markets team — led by partners Beth Diffley and Jonathan Zimmerman — received Tier 4 rankings in the Capital Markets: Debt Offerings category. Partners Dawn Holicky Pruitt and Brandon Mason were recognized in the profile, with Pruitt and the team’s representation of Wells Fargo in public offerings and its inaugural sustainability bond being highlighted. Faegre Drinker’s capital markets practice recently received Band 1 Chambers USA rankings in Minnesota, with Zimmerman and partner Ben Stacke, among others, receiving individual recognition.
Investment Management
Under Investment Funds, Faegre Drinker was ranked in the Mutual/Registered/Exchange-Traded Funds category. Partner Michael Malloy was recognized in The Legal 500’s “Hall of Fame” under the Mutual/Registered/Exchange-Traded Funds category. This recognition highlights partners who continually provide clients with excellent service and who are at the pinnacle of their profession. The criteria for entry is to have been recognized by The Legal 500 as one of the elite leading attorneys for six consecutive years. Partner and practice leader Joshua Deringer was recognized as one of only six attorneys across the nation to achieve the “Leading Lawyers” designation. The practice was also recognized in Chambers USA for 2022, receiving nationwide rankings in the Registered Funds category.
Product Liability and Mass Torts
Noted for its “tremendous bench strength,” the firm’s national product liability and mass torts practice was once again recognized among leading law firms in the Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Action — Defense: Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices category. The group, which is also considered among “The Elite” in the nation by Chambers USA, was included in the Tier 2 category for The Legal 500. In the online profile, one client cited the team’s “commitment to diversity, data analysis capabilities and strength of information systems” as a differentiator. Partner and practice leader Joe Tanner; partner and deputy leader Michael C. Zogby; partners Andrea Roberts Pierson, Susan Sharko, Alan Lazarus, and senior counsel Joe Price were all included in the profile. Zogby was also individually recognized as a “Leading Lawyer,” with one client commenting on his “business savvy,” noting that “[Zogby] knows what clients want and how they want to see it.”
Trade Secrets and Non-Competes
Under the Intellectual Property category, the firm was ranked in Trade Secrets (Litigation and Non-Contentious Matters). The team, which is led by partners Kerry Bundy and Randall Kahnke, was listed in the Tier 3 level. Partner Lora Brzezynski was also recognized individually as one of The Legal 500’s “Next Generation Partners” under the category.
