Faegre Drinker’s intellectual property practice and partners have been recognized among top trademark firms and individuals in the latest annual World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 ‒ the World’s Leading Trademark Professionals, a unique guide that identifies the top trademark professionals and firms in key jurisdictions around the globe. Intellectual Property teams in Colorado, Washington, D.C., Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota are identified as standouts. Faegre Drinker attorneys Emily Bayton, Jared Briant, Tore Thomas DeBella, Jennifer Dean, Melissa Dillenbeck, Stephanie Gumm, Louis Perry, James Saul and James Steffen all received individual rankings by WTR as well.
Now in its thirteenth year, the WTR 1000 ranks firms and individuals that are “deemed outstanding at obtaining, protecting, managing, enforcing and monetizing trademarks.” WTR undertakes exhaustive qualitative research to identify top firms and individuals, including in-person, telephone and video interviews and written submissions from firms detailing their recent activity in the field.
Colorado
The firm’s practice in Colorado, which received a bronze ranking, is highlighted for the security and protection they offer clients. The group is described as possessing “a deep knowledge not just of trademark law but also marketing practices, advertising, promotions and social media.” Returning to the rankings for the fifth year in a row, Emily Bayton is highlighted for her representation of one of the largest retailers in the United States and her work in global strategic advice and trademark prosecution. Joining the rankings this year is Jared Briant, who was called “a broad-minded IP expert with cultivated litigation skills.”
District of Columbia
In Washington, D.C., Faegre Drinker is recognized as a top firm, receiving a bronze ranking. The WTR 1000 features feedback that says, “Our experience with the Faegre Drinker team has been exemplary.
