PFAS Regulation in the Environment and Products
Pennsylvania Bar Institute Environmental Law Conference 2024
Overview
Senior director Aaron Szabo participated in a session at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Environmental Law Conference titled, “PFAS Regulation in the Environment and Products.” Within the session, Szabo spoke on how PFAS continues to be an area of focus for EPA and state agencies, as well as an ever-increasing litigation risk for companies that have manufactured, imported, processed, or otherwise used products including chemicals belonging to this sizable class of synthetic compounds. The speakers covered PFAS regulation and the liability that is a fluid, fast-developing topic in environmental law. Attendees learned about recent developments, including two proposed regulations released in February by the US EPA.
