Faegre Baker Daniels Jury Trial Win Highlighted in Law360
The Law360 article, "Jury Awards L'Oreal Unit $12M In Skin Brush Patent Case," details the decision of a jury in federal court in Seattle which found that a competitor infringed the patent for Clarisonic®, a product developed, manufactured and sold by Faegre Baker Daniels' client, Pacific Bioscience Laboratories (PBL), an affiliate of L'Oreal USA.
The lawsuit, which included infringement claims and invalidity counterclaims, was tried in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.
Pacific Bioscience Laboratories developed patents on its pioneering innovations that deliver sophisticated, sonic technology to its Clarisonic Skin Care System, the encore innovation from the primary inventor of Sonicare®, transforming the way people care for their skin. These patents are important to Clarisonic's success and reflect 8 years invested in research and development, as they allow for a premium user experience in cleansing, stimulating and clarifying the skin.
The Faegre Baker Daniels trial team included Natalie Hanlon-Leh, lead trial attorney, and Marc Levy, Mindy Sooter, Ryan Clough, Lauren Frank, Leslie Prill and Kate Razavi.
