China Business Law Podcast Turns to George Martin and Henry Van Dyck for Insight on Internal Investigations
In “Comparing How Internal Investigations Are Conducted in the U.S. vs. In Asia,” China Business Law Podcast co-hosts Art Dicker and Boon Kim Fam spoke with corporate partner George Martin and business litigation partner Henry Van Dyck, also co-chairs of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act team, about internal investigations for international companies in the United States and how investigations are experienced in Asia.
Martin and Van Dyck spoke on the challenges of working across great distances during global investigations and responding to different cultural norms regarding supervisor-employee loyalties and new data protection regulations. The attorneys also commented on the U.S. Department of Justice’s response to companies having to find workarounds to these challenges when producing documents and information for an investigation.
