Markita Morris-Louis Honored as 2015 Women of Distinction by the Philadelphia Business Journal

Alumnus Markita Morris-Louis, Senior Vice President of Community Affairs and General Counsel at Clarifi, was recognized as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal's 2015 Women of Distinction at a cocktails and hors d'oeuvres event at Vie restaurant in Philadelphia on Tuesday, November 17. The event was sponsored by PNC and Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
Women of Distinction spotlights the region's most influential business women from every industry and profession. It honors women who are making a difference in their communities and blazing a trail for the rest of us.
Markita has been with Clarifi since departing the firm in April of 2013. In her current role, Markita oversees Clarifi's education, community outreach and consumer advocacy efforts. She is also committed to mentoring professional women and women in underserved markets. Under Markita's leadership, Clarifi secured over $2.4 million in grant funding in 2014.
Markita was a summer associate at the firm in 2002 and joined Drinker Biddle as a full-time associate in the Real Estate practice group in the fall of 2003. She received a Bachelor of Arts in African Studies from Brown University and earned her J.D. from the New York University School of Law.
