Drinker Biddle Advises Meridian Health System in $4.3 Billion Merger
Drinker Biddle’s Health Care Team advised Meridian Health System in its affiliation with Hackensack University Health Network. This merger creates a health network that will run 13 hospitals across seven New Jersey counties. This new integrated health network will include more than 6,000 affiliated physicians and 28,000 employees, and will generate approximately $4.3 billion in annual revenue. The newly created health network will be called Hackensack Meridian Health.
Led by partners Doug Swill and Fatema Zanzi, Drinker Biddle’s team advised on all corporate and regulatory requirements and approvals, including obtaining federal and state regulatory clearances from the Federal Trade Commission and the Office of the Attorney General of New Jersey.
