Anderson, Cockson, Dettmann Spiegel and Mewaldt Named 2018 BTI Client Service All-Stars
Faegre Baker Daniels partners Andrew Anderson, Michael Cockson and Jennifer Mewaldt, and associate Rachael Dettmann Spiegel, have been selected as 2018 BTI Client Service All-Stars. In addition, Mewaldt was noted as an MVP, designated for attorneys who clients say consistently set the standard for outstanding client service.
BTI’s All-Star designation is reserved for attorneys who stand out with corporate counsel for providing top client service. Clients recognize attorneys who demonstrate superior client focus and innovative thought leadership, have an exceptional ability to understand their business, consistently exceed expectations, possess excellent legal skills and depth of knowledge, and deliver outstanding results. Only 328 attorneys were selected for recognition in 2018.
Andrew Anderson works with clients on a wide range of corporate, finance, regulatory, government relations and project development issues. He has substantial experience representing energy, gaming, utility, bank, food and agricultural manufacturing clients. Most of his work involves assisting his clients in the development and expansion of their businesses, and many of his clients are recognized nationally and internationally. He was recognized as an All-Star by an innovative supplier of specialty materials.
Michael Cockson is a trial lawyer who brings 20 years of experience to advocate for clients during complex commercial cases and class actions. With experience in state and federal courts in 15 states, his comfort in a courtroom and skill in persuasively presenting a case are assets to his clients. Cockson counsels on disputes from start to resolution and steps in as the lead trial lawyer on cases that are unable to resolve without trial. He was recognized as an All-Star by a top medical products manufacturer.
Rachael Dettmann Spiegel is an associate in the firm's nationally ranked food litigation and regulatory practice as well as the national food and agribusiness industry team. She has an in-depth understanding of food and feed industry business practices, ingredient supply chains, and food safety regulations gained through her unique background and experience in the food and ag industry including her work as an agricultural economist at USDA. She provides practical and effective support to food and agribusiness clients on litigation, regulatory and transactional matters. She was recognized as an All-Star by an innovative supplier of specialty materials.
Jennifer Mewaldt practices in the areas of debt and equity financing, business acquisitions and dispositions, securities regulation, and general corporate counseling. She has represented institutional lenders and venture capital and other investors, as well as borrowers and issuers, in numerous secured and unsecured private debt and equity financings and Rule 144A transactions. In connection with her financing practice, she has developed an expertise in subordination and inter-creditor issues. This is the third year she has been noted for her work by the BTI Client Service All-Star survey. She was recognized as a 2018 All-Star by a leading consumer goods retailer.
