Mike Holston Named General Counsel of GE

General Electric announced on February 23, 2018, that Drinker Biddle alumnus Mike Holston will join GE as their Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary effective April 9, 2018. Mike will be based out of GE’s Boston headquarters and will lead the company’s global legal, compliance and ethics, corporate secretary, and environmental health and safety organizations.

Mike has been Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Merck & Co. since 2015. He joined Merck in 2012 as Executive Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Board Secretary of Hewlett-Packard and was a partner in the litigation practice at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP from 2005 to 2007. Mike was a partner in Drinker Biddle’s litigation practice group from 1993 to 2005 and was based in Philadelphia. Earlier in his career, he served as a prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mike earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and a B.S.M.E. from the University of Notre Dame.
