Vilena Nicolet Joins FaegreBD's Corporate Practice

Vilena Nicolet is taking her talents to Faegre Baker Daniels’ corporate group. She will practice from FaegreBD’s Minneapolis office.

Nicolet brings deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities. She collaborates with clients to help them strategically navigate current and emerging issues in corporate, securities and real estate law.

Nicolet previously worked for Kaplan, Strangis and Kaplan, P.A., handling matters related to corporate governance, financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions. She also served as a law clerk for Judge Hilary L. Caligiuri in Minnesota’s Fourth Judicial District Court, a legal intern for The Advocates for Human Rights and a coordinator for the Human Rights Initiative, an educational project dedicated to human rights, which she developed and implemented with a group of volunteers and the support of the Open Society Institute.

Nicolet earned a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she graduated cum laude. She also received a bachelor's degree in law from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University as well as a bachelor's degree in linguistics from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, where she graduated with honors.
