Jessica Benson Cox Named Rising Star by Law360

Faegre Baker Daniels Partner Jessica Benson Cox has been named a “Rising Star” in the product liability category of Law360’s 2019 Rising Stars.

Cox join a list of 175 attorneys under the age of 40 whose accomplishments have been recognized by the publication as “transcend[ing] their age.” To compile the list, Law360 editors reviewed 1,300 submissions spanning 39 practice areas to select the top 5 attorneys under 40 nationwide in the product liability space.

Cox is an experienced product and malpractice litigator, overseeing discovery and medical/expert issues in complex product liability cases and serving as national and local counsel in matters involving local anesthetics, anti-psychotic medications, cosmetics, cardiovascular and orthopedic medical devices.

Cox is also an accomplished compliance counselor, advising pharmaceutical companies on unique product liability considerations relevant to biologics and biosimilar products, and regarding compliance with state and federal restrictions on the marketing of pharmaceutical products.

Cox found her way into the legal profession after passing out in college while getting her blood drawn. Cox's parents are both physicians, and she had hoped to join them in medicine.

Instead, Cox found herself working closely with medical device companies and applying her interest and knowledge in medicine to her legal practice.
