Minnesota Supreme Court Recognizes Dan Prokott, Mark Rosenfeld and Josh Turner for Outstanding Commitment to Pro Bono Service

Faegre Drinker is proud to announce that Minneapolis attorneys Dan Prokott, Mark Rosenfeld and Josh Turner have been recognized by the Minnesota Supreme Court for their outstanding commitment to pro bono service.  

The Pro Bono Council of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Access to Justice Committee coordinated with the Minnesota Supreme Court to honor 29 exemplary volunteer pro bono lawyers who provided exceptional service to low-income clients and programs during the 2019 calendar year.

In personal letters signed by Chief Justice Lorie S. Gildea, Prokott, Rosenfeld and Turner were praised for, “Answering the highest calling of our profession by helping to make equal justice a reality.”

Prokott is a partner in the firm’s labor and employment practice and was recognized for his work on behalf of the Tubman Pro Bono Safety Project, serving as a team leader in representing petitioners seeking domestic abuse orders for protection, mentoring others in the representation of victims of domestic abuse, and representing and mentoring others in representation of clients appealing administrative rulings adversely impacting their employment.

Rosenfeld, a mentee of Prokott’s and an associate in the firm’s employee benefits and executive compensation group, was also honored for his work with the Tubman Pro Bono Safety Project, where he often accepts challenging cases on short notice.

Turner is an associate in Faegre Drinker’s business litigation practice and was commended for providing significant hours of direct service to underserved communities in housing-related matters, including for a North Minneapolis family in a rent escrow matter and also a tenant remedies action brought against a major Minneapolis landlord.
