Angella Castille Starts Term as Chair of Lex Mundi

Faegre Drinker partner Angella Castille began her term as chair of Lex Mundi, a leading global legal network that provides clients access to more than 22,000 lawyers in more than 125 countries. Castille, who also serves as co-chair of the firm’s international team, will lead the organization’s board of directors for a one-year term and was introduced as chair at Lex Mundi’s annual meeting on May 5, 2021.

“I am thrilled to start my term as the chair of Lex Mundi and will build on the great work of my predecessors,” said Castille. “Despite the challenges of the past year, Lex Mundi has continued to collaborate and invest in tools to help our member firms serve clients – evidenced by the 2020 launch of Equisphere, our global legal service delivery model. As businesses continue to adapt to the ripple effects of the pandemic, the ability of our top-tier independent law firms to collaborate on global business initiatives and transactions for our international clients is more vital than ever before.”

In her new role, Castille will support the growth of Lex Mundi’s Women Initiative to Network Success (LM WINS), a program focused on diversity and inclusion across the profession, and Lex Mundi’s ZIP! Initiative, a campaign to drive innovation across all its member firms.

Faegre Drinker is a founding member of Lex Mundi and the exclusive member firm in Indiana and Minnesota. Through Lex Mundi, the firm provides clients with counsel wherever their business takes them and can offer a single point of contact, cost-effective coordination and streamlined representation around the world.

Each Lex Mundi firm is a top-tier organization in its jurisdiction and committed to superior client service. Member firms deliver in-depth knowledge and firsthand experience in local cultures, economies, laws, governments, trends and business climates around the globe.

In addition to co-chairing Faegre Drinker’s international team, Castille serves as a seasoned international general counsel, partnering with companies to plan and implement their international growth, transactions and trade. For those doing business in emerging markets, she guides them through the maze of managing risk, resolving challenges and operating ethically in those jurisdictions.
