Three Faegre Drinker Partners Recognized for Professional Excellence by the New Jersey Law Journal

The New Jersey Law Journal selected Florham Park partners James M. Fischer, Sandra Dawn Grannum and Michael C. Zogby as honorees for the publication’s 2021 New Jersey Legal Awards. According to the publication, the awards honor attorneys “who have left an indelible mark on the legal community in New Jersey and beyond through their unwavering dedication to the profession.”

Fischer was selected as a “Dealmakers” honoree, a recognition earned for his outstanding transactional work in 2020. Fischer co-leads the firm’s corporate group and counsels public and private clients in strategic and financial transactions, especially corporate venture capital investments and roll-up transactions. In what was a very unpredictable year, Fischer guided clients through several significant transactions, all while co-leading and integrating one of the country’s largest corporate practice groups.

Grannum was selected as an "Unsung Hero," an award that recognizes those who are indispensable to the firm and whose excellent work is often done behind the scenes. A leader at the firm and in her practice, Grannum serves on the firm's governing board, co-chairs the firm's nationwide securities and financial services litigation practice group, and has been honored for her efforts to promote diversity in the profession and to advance the professional development of other female lawyers.

Zogby was selected as a “Mentors” honoree, a recognition earned for his time and efforts in lifting up others. Zogby is the deputy leader of the firm’s national product liability and mass torts practice group, co-leader of the firm’s health and life sciences industry litigation team and chair of the Florham Park office’s mentorship committee. He actively mentors associates throughout the U.S. offices, focusing on diversity and inclusiveness. He also teaches trial advocacy at the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law. He uses his positions of leadership and his bar leadership to help ensure that Faegre Drinker continues the spirit of support ingrained in the firm’s culture.

The honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony on September 24 at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park, N.J. To view the full list of award winners, please visit the New Jersey Law Journal’s website
