Faegre Drinker Executive Women’s Forum Presents Ann Patchett

Our Washington, D.C., office hosted the latest Executive Women’s Forum on December 12, 2023. The event — which was also simulcast to Faegre Drinker’s Philadelphia office — featured acclaimed novelist and nonfiction writer Ann Patchett.

Led by partners Jessica Abrahams and Maureen Hardwick in Washington, D.C., and partner Elizabeth Lange in Philadelphia, the program brought together women executives from a variety of industries and professional disciplines. Following opening remarks, Abrahams spoke with Patchett about her newest book, Tom Lake, and fielded questions from attendees. In addition to the lively discussion, those in attendance were treated to lunch and a signed copy of Tom Lake.

Described as a “beautiful and moving novel about family, love and growing up,” Tom Lake is a rich and luminous story, told with profound intelligence and emotional subtlety. It demonstrates why Patchett is one of the most revered and acclaimed literary talents working today.

Patchett has authored over a dozen books, including fiction, nonfiction and children’s books. Her works have been New York Times Notable Books and New York Times bestsellers and have been translated into more than 30 languages.
