Faegre Drinker Grows Labor and Employment Team with Addition of Partner Roger Tsai in Denver

Faegre Drinker announced today that Roger Tsai has joined Faegre Drinker’s labor and employment practice group as partner in the Denver office. Tsai joins from a national law firm where he was a partner and chair of the Corporate Immigration Practice.

In his private practice, Tsai finds a path for employers to retain international talent ensuring compliance with state and federal laws while doing so. He assists universities and companies in the health care, technology and energy sectors in filing immigration petitions including H-1Bs, L-1As, L-1Bs, O-1s, TN, E-2s, J-1 Waivers, EB-1 Outstanding Researchers, PERM, NIW and EB-5 forms, and counsels companies through investigations from the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Tsai has been actively engaged in advocating on behalf of employers and immigrants while serving on the ABA - Commission on Immigration and the Board of Governors for the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Tsai draws on his 17 years of deep experience at the forefront of business immigration law and has been consistently recognized by Chambers USA and Best Lawyers in America. He assists employers through internal audits of their employment eligibility documents to make sure they are compliant with state and federal law. As a former Board Member of the State Society for Human Resource Management, he understands the challenges faced by human resource and global mobility executives when navigating a confusing immigration process.

Prior to joining Faegre Drinker, Tsai served as the corporate immigration practice chair of a law firm and in that role, he hired and managed a team of six professionals to file over 3000 employment-based immigration petitions and represented employers in I-9 Audit investigations and trainings; H-2A and H-2B Dept. of Labor investigations; and Department of Justice immigration-related discrimination claims.

He has also practiced at a law firm in Salt Lake City where he counseled corporate clients on immigration and employment litigation matters. Tsai earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and his Juris Doctor from The University of Houston.
