Faegre Drinker Recognized as 2023 Standout Law Firm by Global Restructuring Review

Global Restructuring Review (GRR) has named Faegre Drinker as one of the world’s leading law firms for cross-border restructurings and insolvencies in the “GRR 100” 2023. Faegre Drinker was listed at number 20 on the “GRR 30” 2023 list, the publication’s ranking of the 30 standout firms in the “GRR 100.” Now in its seventh edition, the “GRR 100” 2023 features 156 firms from 41 jurisdictions, the largest and most geographically expansive edition yet.

The publication highlighted the firm’s restructuring and insolvency attorneys stationed in 10 offices in the United States, as well as in London, including Laura Appleby, Wayne Beck, Gary Bellingham, Richard Bernard, Patrick Corr, Scott Gautier, Andrew Kassner, Buvini Kularatne, James Millar, Sue Moore and Michael Pompeo. The publication also highlighted some of the firm’s top cases including advising Bank of America, UMB Bank, Grant Thornton and the BVI liquidators of Peak Hotels & Resorts.

Faegre Drinker’s profile also included client feedback. “The teams take a commercial, proactive approach to solve complex technical insolvency and litigation matters,” said one client. “Faegre [Drinker] is always happy to support and work closely with clients and bring the right expert to support on insolvency and related matters.”

Another client highlighted Sue Moore, finance and restructuring partner, saying she is a “highly regarded practitioner; in addition to her strong legal and technical ability, she takes a pragmatic and commercial approach. One of the safest pairs of hands in the insolvency profession.”

The “GRR 100” 2023 is the product of several months of extensive research and writing, including detailed questionnaires sent to hundreds of law firms around the world that seek input on the history of each firm’s restructuring and insolvency practice, its notable past cases, its key names to know and any other characteristics worth highlighting, as well as soliciting feedback from clients of the law firms.

The GRR 100” 2023 is available to GRR subscribers.
