Cheryl Orr Named One of California’s Top Women Lawyers by the Daily Journal

The Daily Journal honored international labor and employment practice group and San Francisco office leader Cheryl Orr as one of the “Top Women Lawyers in California” for 2023. The annual list recognizes women attorneys who demonstrate excellent legal and leadership skills in the state. This is the seventh time that Cheryl has been included on this list of leading attorneys.

In a feature profile, Cheryl was recognized for her career as a leading employment law attorney, defending clients across a variety of industries in complex wage and hour class, collective and Private Attorneys General Act actions.

Regarding her practice, Cheryl said, “I like the people. The stories are never quite the same, and you get to work with any kind of industry that hires employees.” She added, “A fair amount of litigation came out of [the pandemic], and now the backlogs in the courts are clearing, and trials are moving forward. I’m a litigator, so it’s music to my ears.”

In conclusion, Cheryl noted, “I truly enjoy the work. Everything for us is client-driven, and we pride ourselves on getting the best result we can for them. In part, it’s because I’m a very good negotiator.”
