Faegre Drinker Attorneys Selected to Join The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40
Faegre Drinker attorneys Cha’yra Eddie, Bianca Eddy, Tyler Griffin, Joie Hand, Manny McMiller, Lucy Onyeforo and Jamison Whiting have been invited to join The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, an organization that celebrates the legal excellence of top African American attorneys. After being nominated and vetted, the attorneys were selected as members of this elite national network.
Eddie is a product liability and mass torts associate in the firm’s Chicago office where she supports clients by drafting motions, written discovery, legal memoranda and court documents, conducting legal research, depositions, oral argument, and performing document reviews. She defends global automotive manufacturers and suppliers, pharmaceutical, service and technology industry clients in complex commercial litigation and product liability disputes.
Eddy, a product liability and mass torts associate in the firm’s Indianapolis office, is a resourceful advocate for clients facing product liability disputes. With a broad-based background in law, Eddy leverages her experiences across intersecting legal disciplines to help companies manage risk and protect their foothold in the marketplace.
Griffin is a corporate associate in the firm’s Denver office where she supports clients through transactions in addition to advising private and public businesses on the latest state and federal regulations. She has represented private and public companies in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters and capital markets, and has helped transform both startups and established businesses. This is Griffin’s second year selected as a member of the Top 40 Under 40.
Hand, a business litigation associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office, counsels clients in a range of industries facing all stages of litigation at both the state and federal level. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, antitrust, and white-collar crime defense. Hand practices all aspects of civil litigation, including written and oral advocacy, discovery, motions practice and trial preparation. She also represents clients in government investigations, including False Claims Act matters and antitrust investigations. This is Hand's fourth year selected as a member of the Top 40 Under 40.
McMiller is a business litigation associate in the firm’s Indianapolis office where he helps companies resolve and manage disputes in litigation, partnering with clients to achieve their goals and avoid disruption. He represents a wide range of clients in breach of contract, product liability, tort and trade secrets and statutory disputes. McMiller also has experience advising nonprofit organizations on compliance with the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act. This is McMiller’s second year selected as a member of the Top 40 Under 40.
Onyeforo is a business litigation associate in the firm’s New York office where she represents clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters, as well as in intellectual property and employment litigation. She has defended clients in depositions and managed e-discovery in both litigation and internal corporate investigations. With a demonstrated acumen for a broad range of legal issues, Onyeforo’s experience is amplified by her experience in law practices in the United Kingdom as well as the United States.
Whiting, a corporate associate in the firm’s Minneapolis office, advises public and private companies on strategic business initiatives in addition to keeping up with state and federal regulations for public and private businesses. He most prominently advises on M&A transactions and venture capital/private equity financing that transforms both startups and established businesses. This is Whiting’s second year selected as a member of the Top 40 Under 40.
