Faegre Drinker Trial Lawyers Score Jury Trial Win for Coldwell Banker Realty Orange County

On February 15, 2024, a team of Faegre Drinker trial lawyers secured a complete victory for client Coldwell Banker Realty Orange County in a six-week jury trial in Orange County, California, where Judge Shelia Recio granted a directed verdict for Coldwell Banker on all claims at the close of all evidence.

The plaintiff, a local competitor of Coldwell Banker in Orange County, had brought a series of claims against Coldwell Banker, including trade secret misappropriation, inducing breach of contract, tortious interference with contractual relations, intentional interference with prospective economic advantage, aiding and abetting breach of duty of loyalty, and unfair business practices, and sought damages in the “tens of millions.”
