Faegre Drinker Named ‘Corporate Culture Wellbeing’ Finalist in The American Lawyer Industry Awards

Partner Sandra Grannum Shortlisted for ‘Best Mentor’ Award

Faegre Drinker has been recognized by The American Lawyer as a 2024 “Corporate Culture and Wellbeing” award finalist and litigation partner Sandra Grannum has been recognized as a “Best Mentor” finalist. Each year, The American Lawyer Industry Awards honor “the best of the best across all of what the profession holds dear.”

The firm was recognized as a “Corporate Culture and Wellbeing” finalist for its gold-standard wellbeing program designed to simplify access to mental health support, normalize conversations around physical and mental wellbeing, and establish a culture of compassionate leadership. Faegre Drinker has engaged a licensed clinical social worker and Executive Director of Mental Scope Consulting, Ali Schroer, who provides mental wellness education and 1:1 support for firm personnel.

Faegre Drinker’s investment in a retained therapist and consultant creates streamlined access to confidential support, making it easy for colleagues to get the service they need immediately. As a licensed therapist in nearly every state where Faegre Drinker has an office, Schroer can provide confidential therapy sessions for most firm personnel and provides direct connections to licensed resources for those outside her geographic scope. The firm also offers regular mental health and wellbeing programs like “We’re All Human,” a series that features a candid conversation with a firm leader about personal and professional lessons they’ve learned.

In addition, Faegre Drinker’s Sandra Grannum was named a finalist for “Best Mentor” for her dedication to mentoring. Recognizing the value in associate development and how it amplifies the firm’s potential, Grannum is passionate about providing training and hands-on experience to associates. She continuously spends time with associates and empowers young legal professionals to move the needle, fostering growth for the next generation of legal leaders.

The 2024 American Lawyer Industry Award finalists will be honored at the annual gala on Nov. 13 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
