Faegre Drinker Relocates London Office to Heart of City’s Financial District

Effective 24 September, 2024, Faegre Drinker has relocated its London office and is now operating from 8 Bishopsgate – a new 50-storey tower located in the heart of the city’s financial district.

The selection of 8 Bishopsgate as Faegre Drinker's new London home reflects the firm's focus on client service, innovation, growth, sustainability, and attracting top talent. For more than 40 years, Faegre Drinker’s London office has been an integral part of the firm’s global platform with attorneys serving as a full-service resource for U.S. clients doing business in the U.K. and Europe.

Since the 2020 combination establishing Faegre Drinker, the London office has prioritised growth in key areas. This has included the launch of its transnational restructuring and insolvency practice, led by restructuring luminary Patrick Corr and high-profile hires in corporate (Dan Coppel) and funds (Michelle Moran). Further hires of market-leading partners are anticipated in the coming months, reflecting the firm’s continued commitment to this critical market.

The firm has signed a 10-year lease for 14,500 square feet on the 18th floor of 8 Bishopsgate. The new, highly efficient space will move the team from a multi-floor layout to a single floor with secure conference and reception areas, glass office fronts, improved use of technology, and better energy and sustainability efficiency.

“We are thrilled to be in our new premises which marks an exciting new chapter in the history of our London office.” said London office leader Alex Denny. “London is a hugely important market for our clients and the firm, and we will continue to invest in key areas to best serve the needs of our clients across Europe and internationally.”

Faegre Drinker’s London office relocation follows a trend of growth the firm is also seeing in the U.S. – the firm’s Dallas office relocated in April 2024, which moved operations to the city's contemporary Arts District. Additionally, the firm opened an office in Ft. Myers, Florida in June 2023.
