Real Estate partner Jerry Goodman presented at the 2016 Higher Education Real Estate Lawyers (HEREL) Conference on September 15 at Dartmouth College. Jerry and Ira Kauderwood, Associate General Counsel of the University of Pennsylvania presented, “Benefits and Burdens of Redeveloping Historic Campus Buildings – Preservation and Economics of Adaptive Reuse of Historic Assets.”

The presentation focused on the benefits and obligations of owning and maintaining historic campus buildings, and included a discussion of joint ventures and other transaction structures that allow a not-for-profit university to leverage historic tax credits for the redevelopment of historic campus buildings.
