David Abernethy, Bonnie Barnett and Wilson Brown Presented at ACC In-House Counsel Conference

Philadelphia partners David Abernethy, Bonnie Barnett and Wilson Brown presented at the 2017 Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Greater Philadelphia Chapter In-House Counsel Conference (IHCC) on April 27, 2017. This conference draws hundreds of in-house attorneys from companies throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

David Abernethy led a panel titled “Pro Bono in the Greater Philadelphia Area – Opportunities and Partnerships for Corporate Counsel” that also included Kelly Gastley (Managing Attorney, Philadelphia VIP) and Lee Zimmerman (Vice President of Legal Operations, TE Connectivity). This was the first pro bono panel discussion to be featured at the IHCC.

Bonnie Barnett and Wilson Brown led a litigation panel titled “Making the Most of Mediation,” which discussed preparing for and conducting effective mediations of litigated disputes with a focus on the role of in-house counsel and client representatives in the mediation process. They were joined on the panel by Greg Miller (former Drinker Biddle partner and mediator with JAMS), Hon. Thomas Blewitt (Ret.) (former Chief Magistrate Judge for the M.D. Pa. and mediator with JAMS) and Steve Ferrara (former Chief Litigation Counsel, Air Products).
