Analyzing the Cybersecurity Law of China: What’s the End Game?
China’s Cybersecurity Revolution: A Roundtable
Overview
This is part of a three-part webinar series discussing the Chinese legal system and recent cybersecurity regulatory updates. The series will kick off with a broad, introductory overview that will tee up deeper dive discussions for each successive session.
China has issued a slew of draft regulations since its Cybersecurity Law first took effect in June 2017 – all with an eye toward creating a legal framework for cybersecurity and data protection. To date, legislative priorities have focused on:
- Personal information protection.
- Cross-border data transfers.
- Expanded scope, protections and security assessments for critical information infrastructure.
Join us as we put these rules and guidelines under the microscope and discuss what compliance looks like for foreign players.
