The Impact of the COVID-19 Crisis on Mergers and Acquisitions and Related Contracts

Adam Weinstock—co-leader of Faegre Drinker’s mergers and acquisitions practice—is giving a free webinar on “The Impact of the COVID-19 Crisis on Mergers and Acquisitions and Related Contracts” for the World Law Group’s 2020 Spring eConference.

Adam—joined by panelists from jurisdictions in Brazil, Portugal, Spain and China—will be addressing global and local issues of contract enforcement, default liability, force majeure, dispute resolution and new foreign investment restrictions. In one example for domestic contracts in China, force majeure in some instances could be applied as a reason for liability relief, but for contracts with foreign parties, the situation would be more complicated and would need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis.
