Familiar Waters, New Current: Navigating the Biden Trade Agenda

International Business Briefing

Webinar

Overview

This is part of a webinar series hosted by Faegre Drinker’s international team. The series will tackle timely issues of importance for companies with international business and growth objectives.

In its first 100 days, the Biden administration rolled out an aggressive trade agenda to re-align strategic partnerships, protect national security, combat forced labor and human rights abuses and strengthen the U.S. economy. To carry out those initiatives, many of the tools introduced by the Trump administration will remain intact. In other cases, President Biden has implemented new measures to achieve those ends. While congress is sharply divided on many issues, bipartisan attitudes toward international trade and the U.S. posture on China may impact the president’s agenda.

Join us as we discuss how companies can navigate these legal and political challenges and learn how countries like China and Russia may be pushing back.
