2024 Global Insurance Symposium (GIS)

Faegre Drinker proudly sponsored the 2024 Global Insurance Symposium (GIS) which brought together nearly 500 executives from insurance and financial services firms, alongside regulators, state and federal government officials, entrepreneurs, and startup tech companies.

The two-day event included a commissioner’s panel moderated by partner Pat Hughes. Hughes facilitated a discussion covering recent developments in insurance regulation, industry trends, and the anticipated risks facing the industry in the years ahead.

Additionally, partner Scott Kosnoff joined industry experts in leading a breakout panel session entitled, "AI and Insurance: Ethical Risk or Reward?" The panel delved into the rapid evolution of AI, its transformative advantages, and the ethical risks inherent in its application.

The organization and planning of the GIS is overseen by a committee comprising insurance leaders from across the country, including partner Jesse Linebaugh.
