The International Franchise Association Reviews the Faegre Baker Daniels Franchise Summit
In the IFA FranBlog posting, Faegre Summit Peaks with New Partners, the International Franchising Association (IFA) discusses the recent Franchise Summit at the Minneapolis office of Faegre Baker Daniels, August 7-8. Summit chair for the event was Faegre Baker Daniels partner Beth Brody.
More than 100 franchise leaders were in attendance for the two-day summit, featuring a keynote presentation from Cinnabon CEO Kat Cole, who spoke on the necessity of and strategies for franchise system change. A Panel of the Pros — which included Geoff Hill of Roark Capital; Charlie Simpson, President of Great Clips; and Keith Gerson, President of FranConnect — led a discussion that continued the dialog regarding change and how to implement it.
The event also featured a finance panel, chaired by Faegre Baker Daniels partner Kevin Hein, Guidant Financial Co-founder and CEO David Nilssen and IFA's Beth Solomon, VP of Strategic Initiatives & Industry Relations, which announced a strategic alliance to provide more credit access educational programming to IFA members.
