Debunking Copyright Myths
Janet Fries and Jennifer Criss co-authored an article titled “Debunking Copyright Myths” for the July/August 2019 edition of Landslide, a publication of the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law.
While many discussions of copyright are reliable and based on law and fact, there are numerous misconceptions over the rights of the copyright holder and the obligations of the user.
In their article, Fries and Criss identify and debunk four common copyright myths that have become a part of the public lore.
