Katrina Gossett Kelly Discusses Disabilities in the Legal Profession With The Indiana Lawyer
Katrina Gossett Kelly talked to The Indiana Lawyer about what it is like to work as a lawyer with a disability. Katrina, who has spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), believes that while there are stigmas in the legal profession around lawyers with disabilities, attitudes and circumstances are slowly shifting more favorably toward attorneys with disabilities.
“I think sometimes there’s a fear when you see someone roll in with a wheelchair that they’ll need an enormous amount of help. Which is incorrect. It’s not an accurate portrayal of what legal accommodations will look like.”Katrina Gossett Kelly, The Indiana Lawyer
