Megan Herber Quoted by InsideHealthPolicy on Telehealth During COVID-19

Megan Herber was quoted in a recent article by InsideHealthPolicy on a recent memo from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announcing that it will allow diagnoses from telehealth encounters to count toward Medicare Advantage plans’ risk scores.

“We are pleased that CMS has moved to solve the risk adjustment issue barrier to telehealth during the pandemic and look forward to working with them to address it more permanently. Telehealth is vital during social distancing, but in the new normal post pandemic, more and more patients and providers will be looking to continue to use virtual care as an effective and convenient option,” said Herber.
