In response, Schnell said, “Leadership matters. I’ve seen recent examples where collaborative leadership makes a meaningful difference — a franchisor doesn’t give up its decision-making authority but listens to franchisees (gives them a voice rather than a vote) in the franchisor’s decision-making process on key system initiatives.”
