Know Your Product: PFAS Regulations Are Coming

Environment and energy partner Bonnie Barnett and associate Amy Waite coauthored an article for The Legal Intelligencer, titled “Know Your Product: PFAS Regulations Are Coming,” that addresses how companies in the consumer products space should learn how PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) may affect their regulatory compliance obligations.

Barnett and Waite provide an overview of PFAS and the regulatory landscape — breaking down both federal and state regulations. The authors highlight the potential regulatory reporting and recordkeeping obligations that may be to come for many businesses and note that companies may need to revisit the composition of their waste streams.
