Indiana Lawyer Highlights Abe Shanehsaz’s Work With NIL Deals and IU Maurer’s Intellectual Property Law Clinic ‘NIL Initiative’

In the article “Students at IU Maurer helping fellow Hoosiers with NIL deals,” Indiana Lawyer shared how IU Maurer’s Intellectual Property Law Clinic is pairing IU Maurer students with student-athletes at the school to help them with their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deals, dubbing it the “NIL Initiative.” The university reaches out to attorneys to work as adjunct instructors for this initiative and Indianapolis associate Abe Jentry Shanehsaz is currently serving as an instructor.

Shanehsaz noted how he has worked with multiple schools and worked with clients making six-figure NIL deals. He said the work he’s doing in the NIL space has been really collaborative so far, with athletes, universities and businesses working together to make sure the deals get done right.
