Caryn Glawe Speaks to Indiana Lawyer About Recruiting Attorneys in Indiana

In the article “Coming or going? Despite lawyer shortage, number of Indiana law schools grads staying in-state mostly unchanged,” Indiana Lawyer reported that, despite a shortage of attorneys in the state, data shows that the number of attorneys graduating from Indiana law schools who go on to work in the Hoosier State hasn’t changed much in recent years.

The publication turned to Caryn Glawe, co-chair of the firm’s national hiring committee and insurance partner, to discuss the firm’s recruitment efforts from Indiana law schools. “We are now pretty constantly in recruiting mode,” Glawe said, emphasizing the work is year-round.

The article noted the firm’s 88% retention rate of entry-level Indiana associates from Indiana schools from 2020 to 2023 and that, in 2023, 90% of the 2Ls working for Faegre Drinker in Indianapolis will hail from Indiana law schools.
