In “Calls For Detail Emerge As Theme In Parity Rule Comments,” Law360 spoke to benefits and executive compensation partner Sarah Bassler Millar about comments on proposed regulations looking to further implement requirements on employer health plans Congress put in place in 2020 to increase compliance with federal mental health parity laws.

Bassler Millar said “the request for an actual example of what a compliant comparative analysis looks like” from industry groups and the group of attorneys general was a key takeaway from the comments. “Both the state enforcement agencies that are tasked with looking at this, and the payers and the plan sponsors who are trying to do their best to comply, all want an example that crystallizes how to do this,” she added.
