Ryan Funk Addresses NLRB’s Joint-Employer Rule With SHRM
In “NLRB Adopts Expanded Joint-Employer Rule,” SHRM spoke to labor and employment partner Ryan Funk about the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) final rule that provides a broadened standard for when two employers that conduct business together are considered to be joint employers if they share or co-determine the employees’ essential terms and conditions of employment.
Regarding the rule’s provisions, Funk said, “The extent of control no longer matters.”
