Corporate partners Elizabeth Lange and Elizabeth Diffley and associate Sheremy Anderson coauthored an article for The Temple 10-Q, “Practical Tips for ESG Reports.”
The article shares nine considerations for company environmental, social and governance (ESG) reports, including specifying the period covered, using appropriate cautionary language, identifying third-party reporting frameworks, providing context for goals and informative quantitative data, formalizing and systematizing report preparation, review, and publication process, highlighting board oversight of ESG, refreshing and rethinking “materiality,” ensuring consistency, and involving legal counsel.
The coauthors advise companies to be prepared for recent and upcoming changes from various regulatory entities whilst preparing ESG reports.
