Ryan Miske Shares 2024 M&A Market Trends on ‘The Transaction Abstract’ Podcast
On Redpath and Company’s “The Transaction Abstract” podcast, corporate partner and private equity practice team leader Ryan Miske shared insights on the legal side of mergers and acquisitions.
Miske discussed what has happened over the past year along with M&A characteristics and market trends in 2024, including:
- Buyer and seller leverage
- Transaction financing
- Process timelines (including diligence)
- Antitrust regulation
- Reps and warranties insurance
- Seller reps
- Noncompete agreements in buying and selling a business
In the podcast, Miske shared that it is currently a buyer’s market and are able to now, more than before, set their own timelines. However, he also said that “time kills deals,” which can become an issue when sellers are not quick to provide numbers and therefore, slow down the processes.
