Alex Denny Discusses HR Communication Strategies in Large-Scale Acquisitions With HR Magazine

London office leader and employment and labor partner Alex Denny provided insights to HR Magazine about how human relations departments can work to smooth transitions for both management and employees in larger mergers and acquisitions. Denny said proper communication can “be the key to a successful and smooth transition, and long-term success.”

“Internal communications will generally be disclosable in any subsequent legal proceedings,” Denny said. “It is therefore vital that they should be qualified appropriately ('proposal to...', 'subject to employee consultation...', etc). HR must have a coordinated plan in place for consistent communications across the company.”
