Cynthia Lee Anderson
Pro Bono Immigration Program Lead
Overview
A founding member of the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, Cynthia has served the organization as program director, legal work supervisor and Board of Immigration Appeals accredited representative. In addition to maintaining a robust immigration caseload, she trained and led legal staff and created community training sessions, CLE’s and the immigration pro bono program.
Cynthia spent six years as the pro bono director for a national law firm, developing program structure, facilitating community partnerships, and recruiting and mentoring pro bono volunteers. Prior to joining Faegre Drinker, she spent four years as a consultant on pro bono immigration matters at the same national law firm. She also served as a guest instructor in citizenship and naturalization at William Mitchell College of Law and the Hamline University School of Law.
Cynthia has traveled and studied extensively in Asia, Europe and Latin America — she is fluent in Spanish and has training in French and Japanese.
