Overview
Maya Bolter helps clients analyze and advocate for legislative and policy developments that advance their missions, with particular focus on FDA matters and the health and biosciences industries. She supports stakeholders who work in pharmaceuticals, reproductive health, patient-focused drug development and patient advocacy. Recently, Maya has worked extensively in pre- and post- Dobbs legislative research and analysis on reproductive health procedures.
Prior Experience
Maya served as a legislative intern for U.S. Representative Dean Phillips (D-MN) — during her time as a Capitol Hill intern, she developed a policy recommendation based on the Minnesota Third District Youth Action Committee’s goals of removing the “tampon tax.” While studying at Drake University, Maya’s work as a research assistant contributed to the publication of the book “Birthing a Movement: Midwives, Law, and the Politics of Reproductive Care.”
