Janeia L. Brounson

Overview

Janeia Brounson drafts and negotiates construction, design, automation and procurement contracts of all types and sizes. She represents project owners, developers, contractors, engineers, designers, suppliers and buyers in connection with projects throughout the country. Janeia provides strategic counsel to clients on construction projects, with a primary focus on drafting and negotiating agreements and managing projects. She helps clients manage and evaluate risks and assists them in resolving disputes early in the dispute resolution process. Janeia is experienced in public infrastructure, design-build and P3 procurement projects.

Prior Experience

Before joining the firm, Janeia served as an associate at a regional outfit concentrating on transactional services. As part of her practice, she provided counsel to clients on entity formation and related corporate governance matters, in addition to drafting and reviewing contracts ranging from asset purchase agreements and employment contracts to promissory notes and mortgages tailored to protect company interests.

Prior to entering law, Janeia worked as a claims adjuster for an insurance group.

Personal Interests

Janeia is passionate about criminal justice reform and reentry efforts. In her free time, she enjoys dancing at her church and spending time with her family and friends.
