Overview
Abigail Butler resolves intellectual property and product liability litigation for corporate clients. She has litigated both patent and product liability matters involving a variety of medical devices and consumer products, and she has experience managing issues that often develop during complex litigation.
Abigail has represented product manufacturers and sellers in state and federal courts across the country, including acting as national and local counsel in matters involving orthopedic devices, automobiles, recreational vehicles, pelvic mesh, IVC filters, and various other surgical and medical products.
She also is licensed to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has represented clients in the preparation of patent applications and prosecution of patent matters.
In addition, Abigail also routinely counsels corporate clients on intellectual property issues and risk mitigation strategies, and offers regulatory guidance to clients working in the life sciences space. She also delivers training to employees of various levels on the topics set forth above.
